Balkcom Arrested

The Carlisle Police Department are announcing the arrest of John Balkcom Jr.

Balkcom is the subject identified as the shooter in the April 21, 2007 shots fired incident at "The Depot," a Dickinson College entertainment facility.

Balkcom was arrested shortly after midnight this morning after officer from the Dauphin County Crisis Response Team and Lower Paxton Twp. Police Department served a search warrant on the address in the 5900 blk. of Linglestown Rd. in Lower Paxton Twp., Dauphon County. The search of this address was based on information the Balkcom was inside the residence.

The Carlisle Police Department would like to thank the Dauphin County Crisis Response Team, Lower Paxton Twp Police Department, and the US Marshal's Service for their assistance in this investigation.
